Do i need an acid wash or can i chemically treat my water

At GDM Pools, we are able to recover pool water in 2 different ways. Here are the differences and the steps we take to make sure you get the solution right for you and your pool!

First, we inspect and determine the condition of your pool and what the best approach to take.
If you have issues with staining, black algae and large amounts of debris in the pool, we would suggest an acid wash!
If you pool has recently turned green from a heavy rain event or a power event, we can normally recover the water in 2 visits depending on the extent.
If your water has gone green due to over chemical dosing, the only way to fix the water is to drain and restart.

With this in mind, if you are after a guarantee that your surface will be without algae and staining, we recommend an acid wash. If you are on a budget and are willing to wait for an extended amount of time, then a chemical treatment may be the apporach for you!
